How We Do Windshield Replacements
Assessment and Preparation:
The damaged windshield is inspected, and the vehicle is prepared by removing any wipers, trim, or interior parts that may obstruct the removal process.
Removing the Old Windshield:
The technician carefully cuts through the adhesive holding the old windshield in place, using specialized tools to avoid damaging the surrounding vehicle frame.
Cleaning the Frame:
The area where the new windshield will be placed is cleaned to remove debris, dirt, or old adhesive, ensuring a proper seal for the new glass.
Applying Adhesive:
A strong adhesive is applied to the vehicle’s frame to securely bond the new windshield in place.
Installing the New Windshield:
The new windshield is carefully positioned and pressed into place, aligning it with the frame.
Curing and Reassembly:
The adhesive is allowed to cure for several hours, ensuring the windshield is properly sealed. Afterward, any parts removed earlier, such as trim and wipers, are reinstalled.
Inspection:
The technician checks for proper fit and sealing, and may test for leaks or defects before completing the job.
